The resort of Looe, a 10-minute drive, is home to a fish market, supplied by the day boats that leave this quaint working harbour. Also on offer are boat trips and sea fishing from the harbour. Polperro, a quaint and historic fishing village, is a short distance along the coast. There are numerous cycle routes around the area and many surfing spots along the coast. Attractions in the area include the Monkey Sanctuary, National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, many golf courses, Deerpark Forest for woodland walks, Bodmin Moor and many NT gardens and houses. The Eden Project is an easy drive and provides an exceptional day out, as does Padstow, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Fowey, a picturesque seafaring town providing sailing, kayaking and pleasure trips along Fowey River.
